McDonald's worker reveals what you get when you're named 'employee of the month' and people can't ag

'Employee of the month' is a title that people could rightly wear with pride after working hard to be head and shoulders above their co-workers, and a McDonald's worker has revealed exactly what you get if you earn that accolade at the famous chain.

The staff member at McDonald's who has reached the lofty heights of employee of the month has taken to TikTok to share what was in his goodie bag. The TikToker, @biscuit_reviewer, unpacks the box and reveals that you get; a certificate with your name on it (his didn't have it on though), a Big Mac shaped fidget popper, a McDonald's branded water bottle, a £10 voucher, a McDonald's branded wooden key ring, an employee of the month clip that goes around your name badge and a Big Mac shaped grip ring for your phone.

Whist Biscuit_reviewer seems happy with the haul, giving a thumbs up and saying 'very nice in total' at the end of the video, people have commented on the video with a mix of opinions. Some think that the gifts are rubbish with one person saying: "Yes that’s worth working yourself to death over minimum wage." Another agreed with that sentiment saying: "So nothing worth working for lol."

A third person said: "This is really gonna improve employee retention." But other people thought that the gifts were nice with comments like: "Idk why ppl r being mean this made me happy it’s so cute," or this is really cute, hope you have a good day." Another said: "Awww this is wholesome."

One person echoed the split views from people in the comments and said: "I'm so blinded, I thought this was cute til I came in the comments."

What probably means the most is that biscuit_reviewer is happy with what they got and in follow up videos has picked some of the negative comments and spoken about how wrong he thinks they are. In one he shows that he also received a McDonald's hat which he's happy with and in another speaks about the competitive pay and it being only a part time job whilst being still in education. What do you think of the gifts? Let us know in the comments.
