In tonight’s FBI episode, a known terrorist was able to sneak back into the country. His name is Mustafa Samir. He hid in the back of a delivery truck. The truck was filled with boxes and no one checked the boxes at the border or entered the truck. He crossed over from Canada to the United States because the driver was white.

If the border agents had actually done due diligence like they would have with a man of color, they would have found the man hiding in the back. They would have recognized him as someone on the FBI’s Most Wanted List and so the border agents let everyone down. They allowed the truck into the US. And the terrorist made it on domestic soil.

Samir had no sense of loyalty. He even killed the driver that helped him cross the border. It was the murder that sparked the FBI investigation. They hadn’t known about the terrorist.

They were alerted something was up after a bird watcher found the dead body with his truck. The FBI soon learned that the victim crossed over the border that night. They also found old coffee grounds with the truck indicating that he was hiding something there that he didn’t want the dogs to sniff out. The first thing everyone thought when they heard that was drugs.

They looked into the victim. Duggan was a known courier with the Fernandez cartel. He would have done anything for cash. There was no reason to kill him. Everyone figured he was killed when a drug deal went south or for his product. They even found the man that killed him almost right away. Omar Hassan had used his own car to drive to the crime seen.

The road cameras picked him up and so he was arrested. Only he wasn’t talking. He instead called OA a traitor to his “own” and went quiet after that.

The FBI had thought that strange. They continued looking into Hassan when they found out he was hanging out with Samir. Samir’s DNA was found at his house. Samir was the terrorist that was snuck into the country. He was born in Queens and he moved to the Middle East after 9/11. Again, people made assumptions.

They assumed he was radicalized by 9/11 until they talked to Detective First Grade Jack Lombardo. He worked with Jubal on a joint task force in the following days after the attack. And he knows what radicalized Samir.

Samir’s father is dead because of them. They were questioning Samir’s father when he tried to run away. He ran to rooftop of a building and rather than admit he had nowhere to go – he tried to jump to another rooftop. Only he didn’t make the jump. He died and that’s what actually radicalized Samir. Samir blamed the United States for his father’s death and Jubal forget all about it. He was drinking in those days. He was under pressure with the taskforce. He completely forget because he checked his files from back then. All they wanted to do was talk to the man because he was a vendor.

Not that time has been kind to some of their old practices. They did a lot in the days right after. They went to so many funerals and the whole city had been changed by what happened. They were constantly afraid of the next attack. And that’s what drove them to making several critical mistakes. They could have left Samir’s father alone and not want to question him for being a Muslim guy in the area and Samir would have had no reason to hate the country of his own birth. And it goes to show that it didn’t really matter to them because Jubal never once made the connection to the terrorist.

But his father died. The racism against Muslim Americans increased to intolerable levels. Samir probably figured he had no reason to be loyal to a country that wasn’t loyal to him. He became a terrorist and it wasn’t just himself that he smuggled across the border. The FBI later found evidence that Samir was planning an attack in NYC. They made a connection to a restaurant owner. OA used to go to his restaurant as a kid. He asked for a special deal for Ahmed and it turns out Ahmed’s family was threatened. That’s the only reason why he helped Samir.

OA promised to protect his family. He said he would have them at an embassy where no one can get to them and so Ahmed told him the location of the attack. Samir had apparently planned on setting off a massive bomb in the heart of Manhattan. He wanted to cause another 9/11. The FBI raced down to the building along with Jack. Jack was a part of the Anti-terrorism taskforce in NYPD except he also hasn’t learned much since his post 9/1 dats1. He was still bit of a racist. He believed on coming down on all Muslims. Even the innocent ones. And he questioned OA’s loyalty.

They later stopped the bombing. They also corned Samir. Samir revealed he was there when his father “fell” off the roof. His father had told him and Hassan to hide and so they witnessed Jack murdering the man. He recognized Jack from back then. Jack hung that man over the ledge because he figured he must have been a terrorist because he was a Muslim. He dangled Samir Senor over the ledge and he dropped him when he didn’t get the answers he wanted. There was an autopsy. This proved that Samir’s father had bruising around his legs and once they arrested Samir – he agreed to give evidence against Jack.

Jubal later met up with Jack. He got Jack to admit he murdered the guy for being a Muslim. Jubal was wearing a wire at the time and so they did arrest Jack for the crime. Not that Jack saw it as Jubal doing his job. He saw it as a betrayal. His wife has cancer from breathing in the dust on 9/11. She was dying and Jack felt he should have been allowed to get away with his crimes so that she didn’t have to die alone. And yet he didn’t feel the slightest bit sorry for having taken away a father from his son.

Jack was just as bad as Samir because both were murderers.

THE END!
